Concept of Pronouncing the Alphabets & 'The'

How to pronounce alphabets?

Keep in Mind :

  •  In English, the vowels are A, E, I, O, U, and sometimes Y is also considered a vowel.
     
  • In American English, the letter Z is pronounced "zee." In most other places, it's pronounced "zed."

·         The following letters rhyme with each other

***To pronounce the letter ‘B’ one has to press lips together and then slightly push air out of the mouth forcing lips apart.

                                                    (ii) soft sound as in

For hard sound the rear (front) portion of thetongue should move up towards the rear part of the mouth, slightly touching it when the sound is made.

***** To pronounce ‘H‘ The whole mouth is open. This sound is made by using the vocal chord in the throat. The difference between a h sound and an "ah" or an "eh" sound is that it is more hollow in the mouth when the air passes.

For pronouncing J Just like the letters D and T, have the tip of the tongue pressed against the top of the mouth right behind the front tooth. At the same time, press the side cheeks inward so both cheeks are firmly pressing against the side teeth. Then slightly blow out.

******For pronouncing ‘K’ the rear (front) portion of thetongue should move up towards the rear part of the mouth, slightly touching it when the sound is made.

Words Ending With ‘K’ – dusk, mask, asterik 

L --------- El

*** To pronounce the word ‘L’ properly one has to open the mouth slightly and let the tongue touch the Gum ridge. One should be careful that the tongue does not touch the back of the front teeth while pronouncing ‘L’

Words Containing ‘L’ –  milk, bulk, chalk

Words Ending With ‘L’ – hill, drill, grill
